Last updated: 21 August 2026
Passmarks Academy ("we", "us", "our") operates the website passmarksacademy.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Information we collect
When you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier. We do not receive or store your Google password. We also store a phone number where you provide one.
When you buy a course. We store the transaction identifier you enter, the amount, the course purchased, and any payment screenshot you upload. We do not collect or store card numbers, bank login details or eSewa and Khalti credentials. Payment is made directly through your own banking or wallet app.
When you use the site. Our servers keep standard logs including IP address, browser type and pages requested. We store a session cookie so you stay signed in.
When you apply for a job. If you submit an application through our careers page, we store your name, email address, phone number, the role you applied for, any message you write and the CV file you upload.
How we use your information
- To give you access to courses you have purchased
- To verify and approve payments
- To send you account and purchase emails
- To respond when you contact us
- To consider you for a role you have applied for
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.
Video playback
Course videos are hosted and delivered by Bunny.net. When you watch a video, Bunny.net receives your IP address and technical details needed to deliver the stream. Playback links are individually signed and expire after a short period.
To discourage unauthorised sharing, your phone number may be displayed as a faint watermark over the video while you watch. This is visible only to you.
Service providers
We rely on the following third parties, each of which handles data under its own privacy policy:
- Google — sign-in, and email delivery through Gmail
- Bunny.net — video hosting and delivery
- Our hosting provider — servers located in Nepal
If we display advertising through Google AdSense, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through your Google Ads settings.
How long we keep information
We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account exists, and afterwards where we are required to retain records of a transaction. Job applications and CVs are kept for up to one year from the date of submission unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored using one-way hashing and cannot be read by us. Uploaded CVs and payment screenshots are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your account and associated personal information
- Delete a job application and CV you have submitted
Write to us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable period. Where we are required to keep a record of a completed transaction, we will tell you.
You can also revoke this site's access to your Google account at any time through your Google account permissions page.
Children
The service is intended for university students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
